Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the United States as well as Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation and is an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been so since her age of nine. This skill helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this it was announced that the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. She moved in 2009 into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an anchor for the newscast of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories about drugs and immigration issues from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she served as reporter for news on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5pm, then as a reporter for news in English until 9pm, after which she became a news anchor until 10pm before returning to channel Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently called upon to be a sports or weather anchor. Then she anchor and wrote at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She was a reporter for all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was promoted as anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She worked in the same role on Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. The couple divorced soon after and, in the year 1995, she got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer in which she was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she was very aware of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. As it turned out she loved the school and that they had the degree she was searching for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and was enrolled in media studies at the University. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her, and she determined to live up to his standards and never failed him.
